Dear Church Family,

May God’s grace and peace be with you!

As we continue to move forward in these uncharted times as a church family, we experience joy and sorrow.  I want to first share with you the joyous news.  I am grateful to announce that Travis and Sarah Guida have accepted the position of interim Directors for our Kid’s Ministry and Tristan and Eliza Michealson have accepted the interim position of Compass Directors.  Their interims will be starting Tuesday, September 1st and run through May 31, 2021.  We are so blessed to have these two quality couples who love Jesus and are already a part of our church family, join our staff during this interim time.  Please keep them in your prayers and welcome them as the opportunity arises.

The sad news is the resignation of Nicholas Jackson as our Worship Director. We are so grateful for the ministry Nicholas has given to our church family for the past eight years.  We have been blessed by his talent, creativity, care, and love for Jesus. Each week, Nicholas led us into the presence of God through worship.  He has laid a good foundation of worship for us to build upon. While we will miss Nicholas, we also pray for him as he takes a new adventure as an Art Director with Evolve-Creative. We know that Nicholas will continue his ministry for the Lord wherever he goes and in whatever he does.

Nicholas’ last day will be Tuesday, October 6th. In the next six weeks, we will seek to ensure Nicholas’s responsibilities are appropriately covered when he leaves. We will also begin the steps of transition to a new Worship Director. Please be praying for me, the staff, the Leadership Team and worship ministry as we journey through this process.  Also, please be in prayer for Nicholas, Christina, Avery, Mary and Cosette in this time of transition for their family.

We have experienced much change during this past year with Covid-19 restrictions and staff retirements and changes. But with all of this change we are reminded that God is faithful and unchanging. His plans, promises, faithfulness and purposes for our lives are the same yesterday, today and forever. With that we can face the future with joy and certainty knowing the local church is the hope of the world!

Shortly, we will be sharing our fall regather plans.  Our kick off Sunday is scheduled for Sunday, September 20th with Wednesday night programming beginning on Wednesday, September 23rd. Thank you for your prayers over the coming days.  I look forward to seeing where God leads us in the coming year.

Sincerely in Christ,

Pastor Todd
