Secret Church is a unique, one-night event that is simulcast to over 50,000 participants around the world. The idea behind Secret Church comes from time David Platt spent teaching and ministering among underground Asian house-churches. Due to hostility from the government, community, or even family, many of our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world are forced to gather in secret, sometimes at the risk of their lives. With few opportunities to gather and little access to biblical teaching, our persecuted brothers and sisters may meet for eight to twelve hours at a time simply to sing, pray, and study God’s Word. Encouraged by our persecuted brothers and sisters’ example, we meet for over 6 hours for intense study of God's Word and passionate prayer for the persecuted.
The teaching this year will cover the topic of “God, Government, and the Gospel,” while the prayer time will focus on praying for the Unreached peoples around the world. More detailed information can be found by going to Secret Church’s website at www.secretchurch.org
