CONFIRMATION (8TH GRADE & 9th GRADE)

Overview

Confirmation is a great opportunity for students to dig deeper into the Word and explore the truths of God's promises in the Old Testament (1st year) and the New Testament (2nd year) in a more structured, intentional way. There are three primary objectives of Confirmation:

1. Help students come to a good understanding of the flow and major themes and principles of the entire Bible.

2. Help students affirm in their own hearts that they do, indeed, believe and trust in the Word of God as their guide to life and in Jesus Christ as their Lord.

3. Help the Church and its leadership be able to confirm that there is evidence of a genuine faith relationship with Jesus Christ in the lives of these students.

Knowing & Defending Your Faith

Overview

CADRE is a great opportunity for students to explore the more difficult issues facing the Christian faith today. Issues like "How do we know that God exists?", "How do we know the Bible is more than myths and fairy tales?", "How do we know that Jesus was more than just a good guy?", "What are we supposed to do with science and the Bible?", etc. Our goals with this class are:

1. To help students become Confident in their own Christian beliefs and practices.

2. To help students be able to Articulate reasons for their beliefs and practices.

3. To help students remain Devoted to their faith regardless of difficulties, struggles, and challenges as they move into adulthood.
